Light highlights what we want to see and what we didn't expect to see. It shows us beauty, it communicates feelings, and it brings into focus those small significant details that draw us to a face, a flower and even something we see every day but haven't looked at closely. I carry my camera everywhere and I look for light so I can discover and photograph those details.  I am passionate about how photographs are windows to stories about the world around us, and the people who have lived it and have changed it.

My current and ongoing projects include taking photographs of:

* elders in our communities

* veterans in their "senior" years who fought in wars that shaped our global history

* female farmers in south eastern Ontario
